Entry requirements

Language knowledge

We expect our applicants to have an appropriate English level at the time they apply to any of our English-taught programs. The minimum level is at least B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

The English knowledge must be proved either with an official language exam certificate or with other official documents that certify that the applicant's previous studies the medium of instruction were exclusively English.

Temporary measure: for students affected by testing center closures due to COVID-19, the University of Pécs has approved the use of the Duolingo English Test (DET) score a minimum of 110 points and IELTS Indicator with 6.5 scores minimum as a temporary measure for the 2022 intake.

Eligibility

  • You, as our prospective students must turn 18 years old or should be older by the day of enrolment in the current BSc study program to be eligible for the program
  • Finished previous education
  • Successfully completed entrance exam
  • Paid and received tuition fee or approved "Letter of Award" in case of scholarship holder application

Submitted documentation

BSC PROGRAMMES

  • Valid passport
  • Finished High school diploma and a certified translation into English
  • Certified and translated (if originals are not in English) copy of school transcripts showing satisfactory completion of senior high school
  • Demonstrated evidence of an adequate level of English proficiency – B2 intermediate level
  • Medical certificate, vaccination card (showing that you are immunized against HEP B, C) and HIV test, and results of Chest X-Ray
  • Europass CV in English
  • Motivation letter (introduction plus field of interest, etc.) in 3000 to 3500 characters

MSC PROGRAMMES

  • Valid passport
  • Finished BSc/BA diploma and a certified translation into English
  • Certified and translated (if originals are not in English) copy of transcripts
  • Demonstrated evidence of an adequate level of English proficiency – B2 intermediate level
  • Medical certificate, vaccination card (showing that you are immunized against HEP B, C) and HIV test, and results of Chest X-Ray
  • Europass CV in English
  • Motivation letter (introduction plus field of interest, etc.) in 3000 to 3500 characters

PhD PROGRAMMES

  • Valid passport
  • Finished MA/MSc diploma - a copy of University / College degree (in English or with official translation; the original hard copy must be shown after arrival)
  • Certified (in English or with official translation) copy of transcripts
  • Two letters of recommendations
  • List of publications, if available
  • Research plan (1-3 pages)
  • Demonstrated evidence of an adequate level of English proficiency – B2 intermediate level
  • Medical certificate, vaccination card (showing that you are immunized against HEP B, C) and HIV test, and results of Chest X-Ray
  • Europass CV in English
  • Motivation letter (introduction plus field of interest, etc.) in 3000 to 3500 characters
