Successful cooperation with the PVSK football club
The club employed three of our coaching students.
A year ago, our Institute signed a cooperation agreement with the football department of the Pécs Vasutas Sportkör, which covers the possibility for BSc coaching students specializing in football to complete a training internship, training practice, and a 200-hour professional practice. The strong mutual professional trust between the department and our Institute was quickly established.
Among other things, it is due to this that the Department employed three of our coaching students, József Ótott, Dusán Csátity and Patrik Puller, starting this summer.
It's been a decade since we launched the coaching BSc training, which can currently be completed with specializations in handball, basketball, athletics, swimming and water polo in addition to football. Since then, we have regularly communicated to the sports clubs that student employment is the most profitable, as it means low salary costs, the student has fresh knowledge, his attitude can be shaped favorably, he can be developed professionally, and he can be quickly integrated into the professional staff of the club. Yet the experience is that few clubs take advantage of this opportunity.
József Ótott: I like the PVSK philosophy that we welcome all children who can learn this wonderful sport from highly qualified professionals and do what they really love. I consider it important that I continue to train myself, the approach that is also emphasized at the university, so that I can always acquire the most up-to-date knowledge.
Dusán Csátity: I am aware that I still have a lot to improve, but I feel that I am on the right track, and I get a lot of help from the PVSK. Now I meet the real situations and tasks of being a coach. I can confidently address my questions and comments to the coaching colleagues and the management, as the helpful and supportive attitude on their part is palpable.
Patrik Puller: It's no secret that I owe all of this to my teacher Zsolt Németh, because it was through him that I got this wonderful opportunity and I can thank him for starting to employ me at PVSK.
