15 September 2017 9:56am

Freshmen students were attending three-day orientation who enrolled to the 2017/2018 academic year.

The number of foreign students who enrolled in 2017 is the same as it was last year. However, the number of foreign students participating in the Erasmus program doubled compared to last year. All of our BSc programs in English have students, and all four of our doctoral schools received PhD students this year.

On Tuesday the program was to enrol to Neptun integrated study system. On the next day, an introduction session was carried out at the Faculty Council Hall with Csaba Magdali facilitator. Here, our students had the opportunity to share with each other their existing knowledge of Hungary, to find out who came from the same country, who is going to study the same major. They hunted a fox – found out answers to specific questions while they were wandered around the Campus's labyrinthine buildings with a help of a map. On Thursday, Dr Róbert Gábriel dean and Dr András Trócsányi vice-dean of education greeted our foreign students; then Milán Töltösi greeted them also in the name of the Faculty Student Union (TTK HÖK) and ESN Pécs. Subsequently, Erika Szilágyi-Kispap (Registrar’s Office, International Relations Office) presented all the necessary and useful practical information towards. Then a short optional course advertisement came within the frame of Cultural Sensitivity Program with Dr Zsuzsanna Koltai. After the joint program, students were splitted into smaller groups according to their chosen training program and with the help of the institutional coordinators the acquaintance were continued at the specific department and laboratories.
